Lots of eating with some weekend guests
So my dad came into town Friday. We had dinner Friday night at North Beach Pizza. Afterward we just hung out at our place till bed time. Dad had meetings in the city all day Saturday.
Saturday afternoon we had lunch with Frank and Francine. Francine is like my second mother. She is a wonderful person. We always have a blast together. She is great friends with my mom, too. Anyway, they were coming back from Oregon--they have a house in Florence. They were driving back to Tucson and came through Berkeley to see us. We had lunch at The Drunken Boat. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine and the great food. After lunch Frank and Francine headed back to their travels.
Sunday morning my dad came back to our place. His meetings ran late so he just stayed in the city. We headed to the Thai Buddhist temple for lunch. Yum, I love their food. We had great food again and enjoyed sitting out in the sunshine. Afterward, Curt took the leftovers home and Dad and I went the flea market at the Ashby BART station parking lot. There was some cool stuff and of course some junk. There was some interesting music. It was pretty cool. We walked back to the apartment after that.
Curt and I took Joey to Petco to get a nail trim. They were getting way too long. His little feet were clicking on our hardwood floors.
Later on Sunday we had seafood at a Restaurant called Scott's in Oakland and then we went to Yoshi's at Jack London Square to hear some jazz by the Yellowjackets.
