John is home
So John is already home.
I sign on to meebo.com every day (during the work week anyway). It is a Web site where you can sign on to more than one IM at a time. Anyway, I saw that he was signed on. So I messaged him to ask if he was really online. He wrote back saying he had just gotten home from the hospital.
I thought for sure they would keep him until tomorrow.
But whatever. He is doing well. He says his stomach hurts (where the incisions are) and he has a headache. Other than that he is doing OK. He will see the surgeon on Tuesday and then they will decide when he can go back to work. He has antibiotics to take and percocet (sp?) for the pain.

so sorry about your brother. i hadn't read your blog in a couple of days. my mom had her gall bladder out when i was a little kid. she had a wicked scar. glad to see they've made it less of a big deal. got to love modern medicine!
I saw John in the hospital Thursday and he was not even on pain meds and looked great! Uncle Lee had his gall bladder removed 17 years ago when it was a pretty invasive surgery! We had planned a vacation to Puerto Vallerta and found out he may need surgery. We decided Mexico was not the best place to be in a medical emergency so we vacationed in San Diego instead. When we got back, he had the surgery and was home from work for a month. A little over nine months later, Emily was born. Like that cute commercial says....we call her our little souvenier(sp?).
By the way, Alison hates that story since she was with us in San Diego!! hahahahahah
