Tucson Citizen breaking news

So my dad is leaving the Citizen and Tucson for the lovely Bay Area. I have had to keep this secret for a long time. But today it was announced and is posted on the Citizen Web site.
If you really want to crack up, read some of the ignorant and idiotic comments to the story. There are some nice comments, too, which I also plan to add to when I have a moment.
So yes, Curt and I will now have family near us. How weird and cool is that?

Congrats, Ann. That is really cool. Wish I could convince my family to move to Oregon. They love it here, but the Kansas roots are too deep. Lame.

Have a good visit with your friends in Arizona.

Some of those comments are hilarious. Someone's complaining of paragraphs being one sentence. Have they ever read a newspaper?

Good luck to your dad. That's cool that he'll be near you now.

Wow. That's big news.

I don't understand how he is retiring if he is taking a new job. ?

That'll be nice to have family so close!

I felt the same way about the "retiring." But I guess in the paper's mind he is retiring ... from the news business. I wonder why the Republic didn't do a story on me when I retired. :)

Yeah, but did your dad get a super-cool scrapbook when he left the paper? :-)
